    Job Summary:

    The Senior Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including the management of accounting practices, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The Senior Controller will play a critical role in supporting the company’s financial health and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Management:

    • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

    • Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.


    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

    • Develop and manage financial forecasting models to support decision-making and long-term planning.

    • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.


    Internal Controls and Compliance:

    • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.

    • Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure timely completion.


    Taxation:

    • Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of corporate tax returns (federal, state, and local).

    • Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.

    • Stay current on tax law changes, ensuring the company’s operations remain in compliance with relevant tax regulations.

    • Manage the preparation of all necessary tax documentation and reporting requirements.


    Strategic Financial Planning:

    • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.

    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support key business decisions, including investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.

    • Evaluate and manage financial risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them.


    Cost Management:

    • Monitor and manage the company’s cost structure, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

    • Work closely with the operations team to optimize cost management practices, including pricing, procurement, and inventory control.


    Financial Systems and Technology:

    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting systems.

    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance financial operations.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPAor CMA designation preferred.

    • In-depth understanding of internal controls, financial regulations,and tax laws.

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance andaccounting roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, andforecasting.

    • Proven experience in managing financial operations, includinginternal controls, audits, and compliance.

    • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complexfinancial data and provide strategic recommendations.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant (AP/AR) to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precision.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable (AP):

    • Process and review vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and approvalin compliance with company policies.
    • Maintain vendor relationships, responding to inquiries andresolving any issues or discrepancies related to payments.
    • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, while managing cashflow and avoiding late fees.
    • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger on amonthly basis.
    • Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly cash forecasts bytracking outstanding payables.
    • Prepare and process 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with taxregulations.
    • Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes related toaccounts payable.


    Accounts Receivable (AR):

    • Generate and issue customer invoices based on contracts, salesorders, or service agreements.
    • Follow up on outstanding receivables and work with clients toensure timely payment.
    • Monitor and maintain aging reports, escalate overdue accounts, andcoordinate with sales or customer service teams as needed.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger on amonthly basis.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate customer records, ensuring billingaccuracy and resolving disputes.
    • Prepare and send out statements to customers as needed.


    General Accounting Support:

    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including thepreparation of journal entries.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for AP and AR accounts.
    • Help with the preparation of financial reports, including accountspayable/receivable aging reports and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, andrelevant laws and regulations.
    • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation andsupport as required.


    Qualifications:

    • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounts payable/receivable or general accounting role.

      Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.

      Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in AP and AR functions.

    • Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and other Microsoft Office applications.

      Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

      Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle discrepancies and resolve issues.
